Italy: Favored by the GodsItaly seems to be favored by the gods; from Jupiter of Roman Mythology to the monotheistic god of Christianity, this country has been blessed with natural good looks, chiseled landscapes and a fiery passion for life. The months of April, May, October and November are the best time to visit Italy. Foliage is in full bloom and the climate is at its kindest. August can be a stressful month for visitors; this is the month most Italians go on vacation and many business close for the same reason. There are too many beautiful sights and places to visit in Italy so visitors might want to prepare a specific list of areas to visit. An alternative will be to just go from one jaw dropping sight to another; this can be more fun, it can also mean you might be staying in Italy for a while. If you were to pick only a city or two to visit, make it Rome and Florence. Rome, the capital, is a city with an illustrious past and nearly infinite contribution to Western civilization. Florence, the former capital of then Kingdom of Italy and birthplace of the Renaissance movement, is a plethora of magnificent architectures, artworks and sceneries.
