Holiday accommodation in an ancient French Priory built on the site of a Roman villa, only a few minutes to the Mediterranean in the South of France.
In the South of France, St Martial is in a beautiful rural setting with a private park, close (2 km) to the French village of Alignan-du-Vent. We offer you charming holiday cottages and apartments, all with central heating. There are three swimming pools, including a heated indoor pool (heated all year).

Some of the best of the Mediterranean beaches are only 25 kms away. In the lakes of the nearby Herault National Park there is excellent fishing. Tourbes and Alignan du Vent(3kms) have a good tennis court and a 10 minute drive to an 18 hole golfcourse.

Shared outside pools (heated outside the main season) one with children's pool, inside pool, solarium, sauna and grounds.Situated on the first floor of the old house, looking on the garden, the biggest swimming pool, and on the courtyard, the "suite La Terrasse" has television, and kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine, 4 ring hob, an oven (bottled gas), a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and kettle, toaster, vacuum cleaner and ironing facilities. It has a private terrace (not overlooked) with teak furniture and barbecue. From the sitting room (with a fireplace) original stone stairs lead to the largest of the three swimming pools.There are two large outdoor swimming pools, one heated in mid-season (with a paddling area for small children). A third covered pool is a 4 x 8 m heated indoor pool, maintained at a temperature of 25 degrees all year round. There is also a sauna for 8 people.

Very large accommodation with a private terrace (not overlooked), 2 bedrooms (double beds 140cm wide) and 1 twin room (2 beds 90cm wide) on the main floor and a third one in a tower, a dining room, a living room, a separate kitchen, Original stone stairs lead to the biggest swimming pool.

Set in a beautiful wine estate, this secluded 18th century former priory has been lovingly rebuilt by the owners, Veronique and Hubert, to provide luxury self-catering units from 2 to 6 people. The atmosphere of this family property is warm and friendly. The rooms are furnished with antiques and paintings from the owners private collection.
Fully equipped and tastefully furnished, each apartment has its private outdoors area with garden furniture and bbq. Indoors a fitted kitchen with dishwasher, open fireplace and central heating. Access to the three swimming pools: two large swimming pools, one heated outside the summer months. The third pool is a 4 x 8 metre heated indoor pool, maintained at a temperature of 25 degrees all year round. (28 degrees in low season). There is also a sauna for 8 people, fitness bench, ping-pong table.

Priory in the South of France provides luxury cottages and apartments with excellent facilities. Some of the best Mediterranean holiday beaches are less than half an hour drive, the mountains and lakes of the French Herault National Park can be seen across the private park.
Close by are some of the best places to visit in France, Carcassonne, Arles, Avignon, Nimes and the fortified towns of the Templars and Cathars within a short drive.
The region has the most sunshine in France, over 300 days a year, the climate is gentle due to the dry north breeze, perfect for a relaxing vacation.
There are many vacation activities to enjoy on your holiday, the French countryside offers walks and cycle trails, canoeing, gliding and parascending. Golf and fishing is popular in France and there are excellent local rivers, lakes and golf courses.
