This amazing apartment (60m2 + 35m2 terrace) is on the first floor of a two-floor building, and has a large, private patio-terrace with lots of plants and sun, ideal for sunbathing and having breakfast outdoors. Although extremely centric, the apartment is very quiet.

This apartment is located in El Born, close to the Palau de la Musica Catalana (a wonder of modernist achitecture). It is only 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral, 7 minutes walk to plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas, so it's very convenient for sightseeing. Barceloneta beach is within a walking distance.

The apartment is a perfect base for sight-seeing and night-life. Most tourist attractions and major city sites are within a walking distance, or at worst - 10 minutes by public transport. Metro and bus stations are near by, and it's easy to find a taxi.

I suggest taking a taxi from the airport, as it's not that expensive. A standard taxi fare shouldn't be more than 25 Euros. If you'd prefer to use public transport, there is a train commuting from the airport to the city every half hour, and a bus every 15 minutes. Both will take you to Placa Cataluña, and from there it's about 10 minutes walk or 1 metro station (Urquinaona - red line) to the apartment.
If your flight lands in Girona, the best way to get to Barcelona center is by bus. The company is called “Barcelona Bus†and its timetable is synchronized with the flights, so you won’t have to wait long. It will take you to Estacio Nord, from where you can take a taxi. A standard taxi fare to the apartment should not be more than 5 Euros, although taxi drivers here sometimes try to charge more (don’t let them!).
