There is a small cosy lounge fitted with a leather chesterfield suite, display cabinets, raised electric flame effect fire, nest of small tables, TV and Video players. The lounge has two windows with views to the front.
The kitchen/dinning room is very large and is well equipped and includes electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, large pine dresser, large pine dinning table and chairs. There are three windows, two of which have fabulous views over the Shannon Estuary.

The cottage has two double bedrooms, one of which is fitted with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. The third bedroom has a single bed. There is a fold away bed available for a child in the larger of the double bedrooms, thereby sleeping 6 in total. The bedrooms are furnished with wardrobes, drawers and side cabinets.

In front of the cottage there is a stony trail which takes you down through three fields to the secluded stony beach. When on the beach and walking in the direction of the peninsular.

The cottage is situated on a pretty slope overlooking one of the prettiest parts of the Shannon; from here the Shannon car ferry crosses to Killimer, County Clare, every hour on half-hour. The ferry service provides the opportunity for several attractive circular tours. The 20 minute journey saves nearly 130 km of road travel. A location ideal for touring around the counties of Kerry and Claire.
Tarbert (Tairbeart in Irish, from an Old Norse term meaning "draw-boat", i.e. portage) is a village in the north of County Kerry, with woodland to the south and the Shannon estuary to the north. It lies on the N69 coast road that runs along the estuary from Limerick to Tarbert before turning inland and heading towards Listowel.
