The apartment has been completely restored in the traditional manner, with wooden beams, shutters and terracotta floors throughout. It is attached to the English owners 200 year old farmhouse, but has its own entrance and seating areas and offers seclusion and privacy to its guests.
The farmhouse has 2 acres of land with olive and fruit trees, guests are welcome to walk in the grounds and in season enjoy the produce, the owners produce their own olive oil. The nearest village is 10 minutes walk away and offers a restaurant, two bars, supermarket, chemist,fishmonger and butcher, most shopping needs can be found there.
This is the ideal holiday retreat for guests to experience the real Italy away from the tourist crowds, and to enjoy the hospitality of the local people.

A quiet rural retreat where you will be the only guests. If you have been to italy before, and love it, but want to get away from the more touristy areas this is definitely the place for you.

The main double bedroom is spacious and airy, with traditional roof beams and wooden doors and shutters . There is a large window which looks out onto the terrace and views over the countryside. One of our guests said that the bed was the best she'd ever slept in whilst away on holiday ! The twin room is also good size.
The bathroom is modern with shower and all new fixtures. The kitchen is new also and is properly equiped to provide good facilities for holiday catering. The dining and lounge area adjoin the kitchen, and have a sofa and chairs and dining table and chairs to seat 5.The apartment has gas central-heating and so is suitable for use all year round.

A terrace and garden area on 2 sides of the building is for the sole use of the apartments occupants and enjoys beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and to the old hilltop town of Montegiorgio in the distance.
Outside wooden dining table and chairs, sun umbrella, sun loungers and additional seating in garden area are provided.
Guests have their own private entrance and parking area. The property includes two acres of olive and fruit trees which guests are free to make use of.

La Mimosa is located midway between the mountains and the sea. A 40 minute drive will bring you to the Adriatic coast where there are miles and miles of long sandy beaches with numerous holiday resorts where Italian families take their vacations. La Mimosa is also a similar distance from the mountains of the Sibillini National Park. The mountains tower to almost 8,000 feet but there is plenty of excellent walking of all grades , as well as a number of roads that provide some spectacular drives. In between the mountains and the sea there are green, rolling hills studded with numerous beautiful, perfectly preserved medieval hilltop towns .
Within easy reach are the larger, historic towns of Macerata , Fermo and Ascoli Piceno, each with their share of architectural, historic and artistic treasures. There are also plenty of excellent country restaurants serving traditional Marchigiano cuisine. Opportunities for discount designer label shopping.
