Location
ST. QUENTIN LA POTERIE (4 km). Butcher, supermarket, chemist, alimentation, three bakeries (one of which sells wholemeal bread), 4 doctors, bar with terrace and 14 artist potters each with a showroom to visit. There are also four restaurants and one of the best “Maison de la Terre†in France.
UZÈS (10 km). Première Duchy de France. A market town dating back to before Roman times. The Romans took the waters from Uzès via the Pont du Gard (20 km), to use in their famous baths in Nimes (30 km). Uzès is a pleasure to wander round, to admire the architecture, window shop or just to stop for a while at one of the many bar terraces and watch the world go by. There is a large market every Saturday full of local colour and well worth a visit. There is a hypermarket situated on the outskirts of the town. There are a number of restaurants to choose from to suit most tastes (and pockets).
