Description
Casa Bambola is a 4 storey traditional village home with 2 bedrooms, one with king size bed and the other with a 3/4 bed. There are 2 sofa beds in the lounge area, a shower room on the top floor and a spectacular roof terrace, perfect for al fresco dining or a night under the stars!
Ideally, we would like to attract couples to the property however, a small family would be well accommodated, although we do not accept children under the age of 10 for safety reasons.
Pennadomo is a beautiful medieval village just 25 mins from the Adriatic coast and 50 mins from the Apennine ski resorts. The village has two grocery stores, a baker, butcher, bar/cafe and weekly street market. We have many restaurants and agriturismi in the area, all serving gastronomic delights, you will really be impressed with the local food and wine, all very reasonably priced.
In August the area really comes to life and is particularly frequented by rock climbers, bird watchers, hikers, cyclists and water sport enthusiasts.
In Winter the property is perfect as it has a wood-burning central heating system, so is ideal for those of you who enjoy ski-ing, with Roccaraso being less than 1 hours drive away.

If you choose, there are plenty of activities on hand in and around Pennadomo. There are numerous shady wooded trails to explore, a nearby grotto and waterfall. The Majella National Park is a short drive away, where it is possible to walk ancient paths. Of course, Lakes Bomba and Pennadomo are near, with the Aquatica attraction, where you can hire bikes, canoes and pedaloes and take part in other water sports, or simply soak up the atmosphere in the restaurant or bar. A short drive away is the medieval castle at Roccascalegna.
