This traditional rural cortijo has been renovated imaginatively in a rustic style, is south facing and sits within 5000sqm of olives and almond groves.The tranquil, mountainside location homes a fabulous 9x4 private solar heated, saltwater pool surrounded by a large sunbathing area and shaded outdoor bbq/kitchen/dining terrace - all with arguably the 'best views in Axarquia'. This cool, light, spacious home offers 5 double bedrooms and 3 stunning bathrooms comfortably housing 10-12 people. There is a large kitchen/diner and a huge lounge looking over Lake Vinuela and the med. Outside the grounds offer many places to relax in or out of the sun. There is a table tennis table poolside and other games/videos,etc. stored in the study for when you are done with sunbathing and star gazing!

30% deposit when booking is confirmed. The balance to be paid 4 wks before arrival. On arrival a good houskeeping deposit of 300euros is required.
We visit the cortijo 3 times a wk to clean the pool, care for chickens and keep the vegetable garden in order. On your arrival we can arrange whatever time is convenient for you.

Casa El Toril has 5 double bedrooms - 4 with double beds and the 5th with 2 singles - 1 of which is on mezzanine level. If you are a party of 12, 2 additional beds can be set up either in a bedroom or the study. All the rooms have character and are very light.

There are 3 shower rooms - 1 of which homes a sunken bath. 2 of these are ensuite.

This really is a rural retreat. There are chickens on the land , so guests can eat free range eggs every day aswell as picking your own organic vegetables and herbs from the kitchen garden!
Surrounding the chemical free pool there is lawn and terracing, seating, hammocks and loungers plus a fridge and bbq. For the more energetic a table tennis table and darts - all great fun!
In front of the kitchen is another terrace, which is vine & bourgainvillea covered - perfect for watching sunsets or enjoying alfresco dining.

El Toril sits within the province of Malaga but is only a couple of km away from Granada province, so both airports are convenient. Malaga about 1 hr drive and Granada 1hr 15mins. It makes the location perfect for day trips to the culturally rich cities of Andalucia - Malaga, Granada and Cordoba all being easily accessable.Seville is further at 2 hrs drive.
This amazing rural location is also only 25mins from the beaches of the med and the coastal golf courses. We sit between 2 pretty white mountainside villages - both 10 mins away by car. Alcaucin and Periana.
